Our Brainspotting Services
Sometimes the path to healing isn’t talking more — it’s helping the brain find the place where the pain lives so it can finally let it go
What is Brainspotting?
Brainspotting (BSP) is a therapy approach that helps people process and release emotional pain, trauma, and stress that can become stored in the body and nervous system. Sometimes we can talk about our experiences and still feel stuck. Brainspotting helps access the deeper parts of the brain where those experiences may still be held.
During a Brainspotting session, we use your natural line of sight to find specific eye positions that connect to what your brain and body may be holding. By gently focusing on these points, your brain can begin to process and release those experiences in a safe and supported way.
Brainspotting was developed in 2003 by David Grand, who discovered that “where you look affects how you feel.” Today, therapists around the world use this approach to help people work through trauma, anxiety, emotional overwhelm, and other life challenges. To learn more about Brainspotting.
What Brainspotting Can Help With?
Brainspotting can support people who are working through a wide range of emotional and nervous system experiences, including:
Trauma and unresolved past experiences
Anxiety and chronic stress
Feeling emotionally stuck or overwhelmed
Grief and loss
Panic attacks or heightened emotional reactions
Negative self-beliefs and self-doubt
Relationship wounds and attachment injuries
Performance blocks (career, academics, athletics, or creative work)
Body-based stress, tension, or emotional pain
Dissociation or feeling disconnected from yourself
Because Brainspotting works with both the brain and body, it can help process experiences that may feel difficult to access through traditional talk therapy alone.
Who Could Benefit From Brainspotting?
Brainspotting may be helpful for people who:
Feel like they understand their issues logically but still feel stuck emotionally
Have tried talk therapy but feel there are deeper layers that have not fully resolved
Notice that stress, trauma, or emotional pain shows up in their body
Experience strong emotional reactions they cannot always explain
Want to process difficult experiences in a safe and supported way
Are seeking deeper healing and long-term emotional relief
Brainspotting allows the brain and body to work together to process experiences at a deeper level, helping many people move forward with greater clarity, regulation, and emotional freedom. Here is an introductory video by David Grand, PHD to learn more.
